If you want a pet, then you should know that boxer puppies are quite energetic and have a vigorous nature. They make wonderful pets if you are looking for a companion. They are quite tender with humans and will listen to commands the master gives them. Like most other breeds, they do have a problem with biting everything and this includes children. Never put them outside alone because their curiosity can lead to them accidentally hurting someone or themselves.

If you want to avoid them hurting anyone else, it may be wise to place them in a crate. You can put several toys in there so they do not become jaded. Do not be surprised if there are bite marks on those toys. If you do not deal with the matter early, it may become normal for him to do, leading to problems down the road. Understand that biting is his or her way of telling you, "Hey, give me something to do". Give your puppy some exercise and plenty of attention if you want the biting to stop.

Two very loving and wanted traits of boxer puppies are intelligence and elegance. You will have no need to get onto them for bad behavior. Try to put them in some sort of obedience training. By doing so, you can educate them on what is right and what is wrong when they are a puppies. Like children, they need a firm hand and a consistent manner of punishment. If the boxer continues to bite, putting him back in the crate may signal to him that the behavior will not be tolerated. When he/she obeys your command, congratulate them. Boxer puppies want to please and be respected. It can costly raising a boxer puppy from their food, toys, treats and medical costs.

Before you purchase your puppy, check out his/her background. What were the parents like? What were their behaviors? By doing this, it can give you an inkling of what to expect yourself from your puppy as he/she grows into an adult dog. Try to get your dog socialized when they are young and before starting a training program. Doing so can make them much more accommodating. If you can walk your pup, you can curtail that impulsivity they tend to have. Do not do obedience-training groups.

If you can, use positive strengthening guidance techniques. Such things can be dog treats, toys, strokes and hug. These things will correct your pup quicker than yelling at them.
