Toronto, Canada -GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has announced the release of this handheld optical multi meter which is an upgrade version of GAO Fiber Optics' model 08611. It is intended for use in telecommunication and CATV maintenance, passive device manufacture and lab testing and research. It integrates functions of both an intelligent optical power meter module and a highly stable light source module and can implement loop-around tests by using both modules. Also, each module can function independently using a simple function switch. The combination of these two technologies into one device provides convenience to the user, saves on cost and improves efficiency. This handheld optical multi meter, model 08612, is small in size and light in weight. It operates at a frequency range of 10Hz to 60kHz and has a data storage capacity of 240 records. Different light source and power meter parameters can be configured into the handheld meter according to specific requirements. The energy-saving meter automatically shuts down after ten minutes of inactivity. FC, SC and ST interchangeable connectors are available for the meter. Visit http://www.GAOFiberOptics.com
