Most SEO experts will tell you that you must build lots of one-way
backlinks to your blog and the content of your blog must be targeted
towards precise keywords for your chosen market. Fortunately, there are a number of places that you can use to research likely keywords for your chosen market. Once you have compiled your targeted list of keywords that are best suited to your chosen market you are ready to start optimizing your blog for more favorable search engine rankings and ultimately greater organic search engine traffic. The larger the KEI number, the better. Now that you have chosen your keywords it's time to put them to some good use. On page - Make one article or web page per keyword, therefore creating a new keyword targeted post or web page for each keyword on your list. Avoid stuffing your pages with just keywords; one should target a keyword density of between 1 and 2 percent per article. Off-page optimization - three of the most popular and effective uses for your off- page keyword optimization is directory submissions, link exchange and submitting articles. 1. When submitting your blog to on the web directories try and use your main keyword in the title. 2. Use keyword targeted text links when taking part in link exchange with other websites. One term that gets most Newbie Marketers is "Get Rich Quick" through Internet Marketing. Go ahead and do a search using those exact words. I'm not saying that it does not or cannot happen. However, riches gained quickly usually go even faster. This is because there is purpose in process. Let me say that again a little louder. THERE IS PURPOSE IN PROCESS. The purpose of process is not just to guide you to an expected end, but it is also designed to empower you with wisdom. Wait a minute RichBum....did you say wisdom? Yes, wisdom. Without wisdom your business will not last. I don't know about anyone else, but I want a constant consistent flow of cash flowing into my bank account on a regular basis. Don't send me one check and expect me to live on it and leave enough for my children's children and their grand children. No, I need a Cash Flow Business. This only happens with proper foundation and guidance 3. When you submit your articles you can have a keyword targeted backlink to your blog giving you better control of the keywords you use, and the page it links to. These are just some of the basics when it comes to optimizing your blog, but remember, your advanced SEO efforts may be wasted if you forget the basics.
