There's more than one goal that you want to
achieve when marketing. In addition to providing that communication
link between you and your target clients, you would also want to
increase sales and profits through marketing. Indeed, marketing can help you communicate your message about your business so that your target clients can get interested in your offer. But more than that; what you really intend to do when marketing your business - whether it's tv or radio commercial or even flyer printing - is to get your target clients to purchase your products and services so you can boost your income. But marketing doesn't just stop with market research, generating interests from your target clients, or even to making a sale. And it also doesn't stop when you're able to jumpstart your national campaign for your promotions through your print flyers for example. You don't start to relax just because you were able to finally send out your flyer printing materials to your target market. Marketing is actually a long-term process where you need to be able to manage and maintain it for quite a long time. The purpose of marketing is for you to be able to build and maintain a relationship with your target market by communicating consistently. Constant communication means that you are able to give proper attention to your target clients that they are always connected with what you do. Hence, it makes you more valuable to your target clients. Communication is necessary for your target clients to know and assure them that they do have something worth holding on. Like that of any other friend, good communication provides the assurance that the relationship is on the right track. On the other hand, what happens when you don't communicate regularly is that you might lose the connection and end up losing your target clients. Without proper communication, you also don't have any means to maintain the relationship with your customers. Your target clients would just relegate you to something that is not necessary and valuable to them because they don't have any desire to hold on to the relationship. What happens is that you end up disconnected with each other, without any way for your target clients to get to know more of you and your business. This then creates the barrier that would only make it difficult for them to create that link with you. Marketing is therefore the key if you want to maintain your good relationship with your target audience. By communicating your message regularly, you're able to keep them abreast of what's happening with your business; therefore, you make them part of your whole business process.
