There's no point in exhibiting at a trade show booth if you aren't in it to win, and that means you want to have a "winning" trade show booth design. But how do you make sure your trade show booth is the winner (and all the other trade show booths are the LOSERS)! Fortunately designing a winning trade show booth doesn't require a degree in astrophysics. Actuality it just means using common sense. Unfortunately, the fact that it just means using common sense doesn't mean winning trade show booths are all that "common". From what I've seen, I have to roll my eyes and wonder what some trade show exhibitors where thinking when they came up with their designs. But by carefully reading this article and then following these basic steps, you should be able to create an eye-catching, attention-getting, winnning trade show booth that will pull prospects into your trade show booth and convert them into customers - which is the point of exhibiting at a trade show in the first place. If you create a design that does the following three things, it will do its job and be a winner. STEP ONE: you need to get noticed. Realize that your booth is like one fish in a huge school of fish. You want your "fish" to get hooked, not any of the other fish! So job number one is to have a attention-grabbing booth design. You don't want people to just walk by your booth. A sure-fire way of "getting noticed" is to use a bold background picture with a memorable or funny tagline. STEP TWO: you've got to communicate who you are and what you do. Use big letters for your company name and put it at the top. Then explain what your company does in one or two easy to understand sentences. If someone looks at your display and can't easily tell WHO you are and WHAT you do, you need to start over. STEP THREE: you need to explain to people "what's in it for them." Your design won't be a winner if it doesn't answer this question. People reasonably are thinking about themselves and want to know if you can help them. For example, if you are a marketing firm, you might say how many new customers you can get (or win!) them. Whatever you do, remember to tell people how you can help them (and help them WIN) - this is the most important part of any effective design. In the end, it comes down to this. Designing winning trade show booths means creating a design that does the three things above. Your design needs to stand out and grab attention. Your design must include your company name and what your company does. And lastly, your design must say how you can help people. Make sure your trade show booth design is a winner and covers these three points, and be more successful with your trade show marketing.
