As you grow old, you learn the value and the art of mixing and matching. When you dress up, you make sure that the color of your top matches the color of your shoes. This idea also applies in business. For example, if you want you ads done through print, you will look for a reliable printing company.

You want the one that can come up with your demands. You look for the printing company that can give you quality materials at rates that you can afford. You also want the one that can give you your tools when you need them. And so you look for the one that shares your vision and goal of succeeding.

The Right Advertising Partner
To cut the costs of your advertising venture, there is an option that you can take. You can actually find a partner. Both businesses can be startups but must complement each other in order to work. You will share advertising budget as well as the revenues.

1. Look for the one that is not your direct competitor. Your partner must offer something that matches what you have. For example, if you own a video shop and your business is providing home entertainment, what will you look for a partner?

You want a company that people with think about after they have purchased your services. Or it can be the other way around. After people have purchased the products from your partner, they will then think about getting yours.

So if you own a video shop, you'd choose the other business to offer snacks that people would love to indulge in when they are watching films at home. Pizzas may come as a popular choice. You can also opt for those who offer special sandwiches or even beverages.

2. You must get along well with your advertising partner. Although both of you will only work together on one aspect of the business, this must be considered. It is important that you agree in all the terms and conditions involved in the partnership. This is to avoid conflicts of interests in the future.

3. Look for the business with a marketing plan almost same as yours. This way, planning out on events and gimmicks will not be a trouble.

4. The other business must be near to where you are. You can't afford a long distance relationship with this setup. That just will not work out. You need a partner whose location is close to you. This way, communication will be much easier and more open.

5. The other business must be stable. Even though the partner of your choice is also a startup like you, look closely at its background. With the proper information at hand, you can gauge whether that biz can last through the partnership.

With the right advertising partner on board, you can now go to the printing company that can process the materials that you need. Make sure that both companies are highlighted in all your ad tools. Go through the journey together. Face the same avenue, walk the same path and reach for the stars.
