Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has released its Compact Optical Light Source for simulating various conditions in the manufacture, testing and maintenance of passive optical components. It is available in different versions for different applications, offering great flexibility for testing, installing, and maintaining single mode and multimode optical networks. This easy-to-operate optical laser source, model C0220005, provides optional operating wavelengths of 1310, 1550, 1310/1550, 650/1310/1550, 850/1310/1550, 850/1300, 1490/1310/1550, and 1625/1310/1550 nm. It also offers optional modulation frequencies including CW, 270 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz to meet various requirements. FC, ST and SC adapters are available. It uses automatic power control (APC) and automatic temperature control (ATC) techniques to ensure highly efficient tests. The optical laser source also features highly stable output power of ±0.03 dB/15 mins and ±0.05 dB/ 8h, an auto-off function, and low battery power indication. In addition, featuring a large LCD screen, sleek design and easy operation, this laser source is ideally suited for field work. This portable optical laser source belongs to GAO's family of Light Source.
