Now that you've successfully launched your business, it's time to focus on your promotional materials. It is critical that you create materials that showcase your image effectively in order to give a good first impression. An old and good marketing strategy says that you have one chance to make a good impression to your customers. So, it's critical that your materials are able to create the right impression to easily catch the attention of your customers.

A good material be it a brochure, poster, or booklet printing has to have the right design in order to grab attention. This would easily encourage your target customers to keep your brochure or booklet in their files for later use. There are, however, several things you need to consider in creating a good material. These include:

* The color choice. The color you use in your materials actually serves as the visual representation of your business. It delivers the emotions you want your readers to feel. Make sure that your color choice fits the emotion and characteristic of your target customers. Keep in mind that you can either send a positive or negative message through your colors. So, make sure you use the right color in your materials.

It's also important to evenly distribute the colors on your every page of your material. See if all corners of each page are highlighted equally. As each color, from top to bottom, creates a different mood in your material, make sure to stay in tune with the rhythm of the distribution of your colors to effectively deliver your message.

* The arrangement of the elements in your material. This refers to the overall display of the information and images in the page. Make sure to layout the images evenly with the content. Organize it in such a way that it looks appealing and compelling.

* The blank space. This means the white space that makes your material look spacious and open. This gives the reader an easy way to read and understand all information while taking in the design and graphics. If the blank space is equally distributed all throughout your material, it will easily encourage people to read all the pages and read the text.

* The images. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. When you put an image in your material that is fit for the personality of your business, you are actually giving readers a quick assessment of what your business is all about. From the color of the image to the quality and visual message, all these will add up to the thousands words you want to tell.

But after taking all these things into consideration, how to ensure your material is able to make a good impression?

* Perform the glance test. This means to look at your brochure or booklet yourself and see if you find it attractive and compelling. Ask yourself is it able to give you a good first impression? The best way to do this is to leave your material on the table and leave the room for a while. Watch TY, read a magazine, or go for a coffee break. After a few hours, go back to the room at look at your material. Look at it like you've never seen it before. What impression do you get from doing this?

* Compare your material to others. Try to look at the booklets of your competitors. What does it differ from your booklet? What makes them more appealing than yours? Even when attending trade shows, conferences, or any gathering, try to grab a copy of the marketing materials of other businesses in the event. Once you've studied their materials, redesign your booklet to give it a unique appeal. Don't worry as there are cheap booklet printing companies that offer affordable printing services for your new booklets or other printing needs.

* Ask your customers of their impression. There's no better person to ask how they see your materials than your customers. So, ask for their assessment of your materials and from there work on improving them to suit your customer's thoughts.
