Postcard printing has come a long way. It was mainly created to let friends and family know where you are, what you are seeing and let them feel that you are thinking of them. Over the years, its usage expanded from becoming wedding invitations to company's advertising and marketing materials. Various postcard templates have been designed and offered catering to different purposes.
Postcard printing is good for many more things. For those of you who are in to a little creativity, here are 8 fun ways of using new and old postcards. Travel Journal. Make notes on the postcards you buy from every place you visit. When you get home, you can make a small notebook and incorporate them there or bind them all together in a creative manner. Art Prints. They can make great art for the walls. Instead of the usual framed photograph, you can create a set of collage of these postcards and use them as home decors. Then you'll always have your travel memories surrounding you. Day to Day Communication. It's a great way of saying "hi" to friends. Instead of the usual mails, they have something "nice" from you. And they will appreciate the effort. Journaling. Similar to a travel journal, this is keeping track of your daily thoughts and memories. Like a diary but instead of a notebook, you use postcards. Just write some short notes at the back. Put a date and you're all set. Coasters. Let's get more creative! You can recycle your old postcards (and still keep the memories intact) by making coasters out of them. You can keep the original shape or size, or cut them to squares. Then put them on a thin piece of cardboard and add a layer of sealing resin to the top so that they are protected from the glass moisture. Inspiration. If you are in to painting or scrap book-ing, postcards are great source of inspiration for your next masterpiece. It provides a visual stimulation that will keep the creative juice in your head flowing. Reminders. You want to visit Thailand. You can buy lots of postcards about it and pin them in your corkboard. A visual guide is always handy and will keep you motivated. It will make sure you get those tickets that'll fly you to Thailand. Relaxation. In times of stressful situations, you can always turn to your postcards and remind you of the good times! Reminisce the positive experience so that you can drive away all the negative vibes. Hopefully, these ideas gave you the spark that you need to dig those old postcards or stock up on them for alternative use. Postcard printing can do a lot more for you.
