This 1000 Base-TX to 1000 Base-FX Media Converter, model C0310002, features a modular design and provides IEEE802.3x flow control in full duplex mode. It complies with IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE 802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX standards. It performs automatic negotiation and supports automatic cross of twisted pair ports.

This plug and play media converter extends the transmission distance of a network from 100 m over copper wires to up to 80 km through optical fibre link.
