If you want to have as many guests and patrons going to your fundraising activities, you need to market and get your event across your target clients by publicity. As one fundraising event expert would tell you, publicity is what gets the people aware of your need to raise funds for a very worthy cause. So how do you publicize your fundraising calendar campaign for example? In addition to handing out fundraising calendars to each person you meet, here are more publicity tips that can help you get the fundraising results you want. # 1 - Do your press release. Just remember to write your press release as something that is newsworthy to your target readers. Describe your fundraising event focusing on the newsworthy aspect of your activity. And write your press release to showcase what is unique and different about what you are doing. # 2 - Go to your website. Use your website to announce your fundraising event. And if you still don't have one, isn't it time for you to get one now? Use your website as your tool to communicate your objectives for the fundraiser, thank your sponsors, showcase your beneficiaries, be grateful for the successes, honor outstanding benefactors, provide updates to the fundraiser, etc., etc. And to further increase traffic to your website, include your website address in all your printed materials. # 3 - Get active in marketing. Go to great lengths to get the word out. Publicize in many ways as you can think of. Air your fundraising event in local community radios, attend community forums, and try to squeeze a few minutes on talk shows and other public forums to talk about it. The key is to communicate your event as much as you can so you can reach out to as many people as possible. # 4 - Use other events. When you're in any gathering, take the opportunity to spread the word. Display your products and get volunteers to your fundraiser. Get as many people involved in the event. And network with people you meet in any gathering. You might be surprised who you might get for your sponsor during that time. # 5 - Be fully aware of your goal. What's your objective for having this fundraising activity? What's the purpose of your fundraising calendar campaign and your fundraising calendars? You need to be aware of your goal so that you can highlight it in all your communications especially to your prospective attendees, bidders, and sponsors. Always remember that a good cause gets the money in and checkbooks out. So make sure that the participants in the fundraiser know the reason why they're there. # 6 - Communicate as often as you can. Make your publicity activities regular. Do it every day or as often as you can. And use all possible and available ways and means to increase awareness of your fundraising event. # 7 - Market in every way possible. Use road signs, maximize your email lists, call everybody in your black book, send out newsletters, flyers, posters, post your ads in bulletin boards, record messages in hotline numbers, print sponsor decals - and many more. The key is to get the word out as much as you can. There are many more ways to get publicity for your fundraising event. You just have to be creative and imaginative in thinking of ways to get the word out. Because when you do, you'll be sure to reap the benefits after, especially when you have success in your fundraising event. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
