Nowadays, postcards are a dime a dozen. Every business owner and marketer I know of have used or have postcard printing materials in their marketing arsenal. What's more, there are already a lot of marketing strategies out there with the emergence of digital technology.

It is therefore crucial to your business success to be able to constantly look for new ways to attract target customers to your business, and then make them stay. No matter that postcards are so ubiquitous these days, when used properly, they can still become your strongest marketing tool to open opportunities for you to make sales.

Here's how:

Mail your postcard to the right people. This means getting your postcard printing materials to a targeted database of target clients. And this would entail a systematic process of doing it.

Don't do what the other marketers are doing - mailing them once and then stopping because they have this preconceived notion that it's enough. On the contrary, with postcards, you need to mail them consistently and regularly to your prospects. And not just mail them, you need to make sure that your postcard has an enticing offer and that you are mailing it to a group of right prospects. When I say right, I mean those people who are already interested in what you have to offer and have the history of acting on their interest.

The key is to get your postcard out there as many times as you can so that your prospects can remember and recognize your offer. Otherwise, you'll just be stashed with the rest of forgotten marketing collaterals or worse, thrown in the trash right away. Studies have shown that it will take 3 or 4 contacts with your target clients before they can even be willing to engage in business with you.

Be systematic when making contact with your target clients. Don't rely on your offer to get your clients to stay once they've engaged in business with you. Continue to market with your customers so they would come back to buy more of your products and services. Mail your postcard or other marketing collaterals regularly to keep your clients updated. Offer them incentives, additional products, or even simply to say thanks for the business they have given you. This would make it easier for your clients to purchase again when they feel that they are appreciated by you.

Make them feel special. This is one of the best ways to make your present clients as well as those who are potential customers to build a stronger relationship with you. Send them a postcard with an offer that is specially created for them. Tell them that the special incentive is given to the special customers of the business, and that they are free to use it themselves or to pass on to a loved one or friends. This then would make them feel special and eventually build that special relationship that would create the repeat purchase and generate leads from your clients.

These are just three of the ways you can really maximize your postcard's success when marketing with it. Postcards are quick and inexpensive to produce. They can communicate your message to your prospects and clients in the most cost effective way possible. When used systematically and part of a solid marketing system, your postcard printing can become your most powerful marketing tool even when there are a lot of them in the market today.
