The main trait of a successful brochure should be its ability to instantly grab people's attention and encourage them to read through the rest of it. There are a number of tactics that you can employ to make sure that your brochures will easily stand out amongst the competition, and get potential customers informed about your business. You can use flashy colours on the main areas of the brochure, arranged in seemingly random ways. This is bound to grab people's attention and make them curious about the contents of your brochure. Do not overdo the flashiness though, or your customers may get the impression that you're a person without a sense of taste. The total opposite also applies. Using minimalistic designs - like an interesting black and white theme - can be just as eye-catching and attention grabbing. Try to make use of elementary geometrical shapes, sharp contrasting colours, straight edges, etc. If you want your brochure to look presentative and "speak" of quality, do not go for the cheaper, but lesser-quality service. Always spend that extra buck to make sure the brochure printing service you're using is top-notch and they know what they're doing - you don't want to end up with smudged colours, blurry lines, lack of contrast, and countless other potential problems stemming from bad printing. Overall, be creative in your designs. Don't go for the obvious idea that everyone uses, try to stray away from the established path a little - think of interesting ideas to incorporate in your brochure designs, even try using thins you'd generally consider a bad idea - you never know when you might discover something with a lot of potential.
